The didactic (classroom) session is completed synchronously via ZOOM, and an in-person competency skill check-off is scheduled at our office in Plano, TX with the instructor. Prior to the class you will be assigned a time slot to come to the office to practice and be checked off for competency. You will receive your check-off to give your employer and a certificate of completion when you complete the practice and check-off portion of the class.

This class covers all of the basic didactic training required to safely start and maintain an IV.
The second half of the class is devoted to IV insertion practice and competency skill check-off. Students receive competency check-offs and a certificate at the end of the class.
We are offering advanced IV maintenance and care at an additional charge. $200.00.

After this course, the student will be able to safely insert a peripheral IV and maintain intravenous therapy in an acute Medical/Surgical, Nursing Home, Home Health, or Physician's Office setting. Non-Nurses cannot practice IV Therapy in the Nursing Home or Home Health setting.

Our Instructors are experienced RNs with combined experience equaling more than 50 years. We are patient and will help you to succeed.
This IV course is for RNs, LVNs, and MAs working under the direct supervision of an RN or MD. This introductory IV therapy course prepares the student to insert a peripheral short catheter IV in the upper extremities. THIS IS NOT AN INFUSION THERAPIST COURSE.
Class Fee: $250.00
Groups of 6 or more students pay $200.00 each if paid together.
